Trinitia A. Green, Minister of Music |
---|
My Christian faith and belief in the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior and Redeemer means everything to me. When I think of the fact that GOD loves me IN SPITE of me I am overwhelmed and overjoyed. I believe in living my Christian faith in such a way that I don’t have to beat people over the head with my bible or my words. I truly believe that if I lift up the name of Jesus and allow Him to use me, that He, indeed, will draw all men unto Himself. Seeing this in action is one of the greatest blessings and motivations in my life.
How long have you been a member of Olivet?
15 years (13 ½ yrs the first time and 1 ½ years since re-joining)
Olivet is under new pastoral guidance. What accomplishments have been the most encouraging within the last 12 months?
The preaching and teaching of the Word, the raising of monies in short time periods to help meet key needs in the church, the successful transition of leadership and development of the OBC Music Ministry, the support and focus on the Youth Ministry and After School Program at OBC.
What new goals and/or ideas would you like to see achieved within the next year?
More promotion of OBC in the community and on Social Media.
The next 5 years?
Increased membership at OBC.
The next 10 years?
Restored church edifice, increased membership and increased ministries, spiritual and biblical conferences and revivals, an International Church Leadership Training Program, a more fully developed Music Ministry with a band and small orchestra, Praise Dance Ministry, and a Youth & Young Adult Choir.
What passage of scripture would you cite to confirm your faith in the achievement of these goals? Why?
“Is anything too hard for the Lord?”----------------------------------------- Gen. 18:14, NKJV
I have seen the LORD GOD work in seemingly impossible situations in my own life and in OBC as well. I have gained much confidence from these experiences to know that if the LORD GOD has said it or put it in our hearts to desire to accomplish it then it shall be done according to our measure of faith (belief).
