Vivian Romeo, Administrative Assistant to the Pastor

To me, my faith means walking in the assurance that God is in control.  Every circumstance or situation – whether good or difficult - which He allows, is designed to help me to mature into a Christian who will be a faithful servant for His use. Our journey with our Lord Jesus Christ will not be easy but it will be our chance to learn who He is; how much He loves us; and, why He deserves our praise and worship.

How long have you been a member of Olivet?
I became a member of Olivet on Palm Sunday, March 1998.

Olivet is under new pastoral guidance. What accomplishments have been the most encouraging within the last 12 months?
The most encouraging accomplishment under our new pastoral guidance for me has been to experience the unifying of the Olivet body with a renewed spirit of love, cooperation, prayer and fellowship.

What new goals and/or ideas would you like to see achieved within the next year? The next 5 years? The next 10 years?
In the next 5 to 10 years I would like to see our church building well on the way to restoration so that Olivet will be able to minister more to the needs of our community, and draw the lost to Jesus Christ.

I look forward to Olivet becoming an international worldwide ministry that reaches the lost through media, television, Internet, etc.  I would also like to see more ministries in operation at Olivet that will nurture the development of our children and young adults into strong bible believing Christians. Ministries such as: Youth Choir, Youth Sunday School, Youth Bible Study, and Drama, etc.

What passage of scripture would you cite to confirm your faith in the achievement of these goals? Why?
“We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.” --------------------- Philippians 4:13

Because without Christ we can do nothing!
